Where to stay in Seville (Spain).
We just stayed 12 days in an Airbnb in Seville. I’ll cover that experience below. But we’ve been to Seville before and in this post I’ll cover various accommodation options in Seville, all in different price ranges.

1. A good Airbnb apartment for a short stay
One our latest trip to Seville we stayed in this Airbnb. It’s one of the better rated apartments in Seville on Airbnb and I’d put it in the “good to very good” range. Having said that, 12 days was too long. It’s more ideal for a short stay (ie 3 to 5 days)..
Pros:
- Modern, clean, very functional. The apartment has a kitchenette with a stovetop with2 elements, a microwave, toaster, kettle. No oven. Despite the stovetop only having 2 elements it was efficient…but it’s one of the reasons why the apartment is not ideal for a long stay.
- A good washing machine situated in the kitchen. A drying rack to dry.
- The bedroom is modern and the bed comfortable. The room is in the back of the unit and very quiet. We had some excellent sleep. There’s a fan/AC unit that’s very responsive and worked well, there was also a mobile fan provided. It all made for a comfortable stay.
- Well-lit living room, comfortable couch. TV has only basic channels – we hooked our computer with an HDMI cord and watched Netflix.
- Bathroom is modern, large shower, efficient toilet. Very good.
- Very well situated, 1 min from the Metropol Parasol (also known as the Seta of Sevilla). 15 minute walk to the Cathedral/Real Alcazar, even closer to Casa de Pilatos and Palacio de las Duenas. Lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops. You’re in the center.
- Responsive Airbnb host, Maria Jesus was always quick to respond,
Cons
- The front on the apartment looks out onto the street and a hostel. It gets VERY loud. During our 12 days, about 10 days were rainy so it didn’t get too bad…but we had 2 days where the sun came out and it was weekend. It got very loud. That’s a big con.
- While decent sized, the apartment has almost zero storage space. There’s a closet where you can hang clothes and 4 small drawers for socks, underwear etc…but otherwise no space. Luggage (we had 2 carry-on sized suitcases) had to be put in a corner of the living room.
- There are no garbage facilities in the building, you have to take it out to a bin. The nearest bins are on the street where the Metropol Parasol is (about 3 min away) but because of construction on the street we had to walk to El Corte Ingles, about 10 minutes away. It seemed a bit ridiculous walking 10 minutes away with our garbage/recycling…
Staying for 12 days in February, the price of the apartment came out to 77 Euros/night which was about average for nicer apartments in the area. It was a nice, cosy apartment…but as I say, I’d only recommend it for a short-term stay.
My rating: 3.8 out of 5, which is about 75% (I’m not rating it on the ridiculous Airbnb rating system, I think mine is a real and fair grade).
2. Other Recommended accommodation options in Seville (in all price ranges)
All of the recommendations listed below are centrally located close to the highlights.
Mid-range hotels:
Intelier Casa de Indias – Right next to the Metropol Parasol, close to all the attractions. Modern, clean, a rooftop bar, an outdoor pool. Very nice, great value for money.
Mylu Suites by Puerta Catedral. Excellent mid-range option. Not a hotel, these are equipped apartments (with kitchenettes) but with hotel services. Great location near the Cathedral/Real Alcazar, rooftop swimming pool, terrace, restaurant, shuttle to the airport…
Hotel Inglaterra. A 4-star hotel that often has mid-range specials (keep an eye out for them when searching). Classic rooms, great views (including rooftop terrace), very clean and a great location in the center. Great value for money, especial at special rates.
High end Hotels
Hotel Fernando III – spiffy hotel with pool, great location, nice views. Large comfortable rooms. Fantastic hotel.
Hotel Alminar – known for spacious and clean rooms. Small, intimate and a fantastic location.
Budget Accommodation
Room00 Salvador Hostel. Very clean, very modern hostel that’s centrally located (near the Metropol Parasol). Breakfast is included, they have a bar-restaurant with good pricing. The hostel organizes activities including free walking tours.
Black Swan Hostel Sevilla: also clean and modern with rooftop terrace and lounge and kitchen. Located in the center. Bigger-than-usual beds, big lockers for your belongings, free computers you can use.
