Photo Essay. Why Kotor, Montenegro, totally blew us away

Why Kotor, Montenegro, totally blew us away

Kotor has been on my list of places to see ever since spotting a photo similar to the above on another blog. So when we left Split last week for a little trip down south, Kotor was the place I wanted to see. Not Dubrovnik, but Kotor. I didn’t tell Spanky that because she hates it when I choose a destination because of a hike  or a “photo opportunity” (as she calls it). I told her we were going to Dubrovnik with a little side trip to a place called Kotor. Like most people she had never heard of it. [Read more...]

We booked this trek with Tiger Trail. The hike started 15 km out of Luang Prabang at the Lao Spirit Resort. Road Trip to Tadoussac, the Saguenay fjord, and Parc des Hautes Gorges de la Riviere Malbaie
After our almost disastrous family road trip to the Gaspe the previous year, Lissette and I decided to take our own road trip without Benjamin or the bikes. This time we were going to discover the North Coast of the St. Lawrence, including the fjord of the Saguenay river (Wikipedia: a fjord is a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, created in a valley carved by glacial activity).
