So when we left Split last week for a little trip down south, Kotor was the place I wanted to see. Not Dubrovnik, but Kotor. 12 km east of Quebec City are the Montmorency Falls, the highest falls in the province of Quebec at 84 m (275 ft) in height. Just to give you a sense of perspective, the falls are higher than Niagara Falls which are 51 m (167 ft) high.

Mt. Ham is about 2 hours from Montreal in Quebec’s Eastern Townships. We hiked the “Intrepid” Trail, a 1.7 km hike up to the summit where we were blessed with impressive 360 degree views. Far away we could see Mont-Megantic and Mont-Orford. The views are quite awesome.  [Read more…]

We booked this trek with Tiger Trail. The hike started 15 km out of Luang Prabang at the Lao Spirit Resort. The resort is surrounded by mountains and is flanked by a river across which is Tiger Trail’s Elephant Camp. But while we were blessed with beautiful geography, it wasn’t the hiking that made this trek special. [Read more…]
