Destination Guides

My goal with these destination guides is to provide overviews, money-saving tips, and resources on destinations around the world. The information in this section is drawn from personal travel experiences in these countries, travel guides, as well as the help of local experts (many of the Guides below are contributed by local bloggers).

MINDLESS TRAVEL GUIDES take all the thinking and planning out of a city destination because I’ve basically done it all for you. They’re usually built around a 3 day itinerary and cover what to see and do, where to stay, where to eat, and how to get around. I usually also include a PDF version of the guide so you can just print it out and follow it.

  1. I’m interested in knowing about travel in El Salvador. After reading your newsletter last December, I visited Puebla and took the bus from Oaxoca City to get there. Great advice and I loved Puebla.

    1. Never been to El Salvador Pat. I’d be a bit nervous with the security situation. Maybe Nicaragua instead?
Happy you loved Puebla, my mom mentioned going back. I’d go back anytime, thought it was a beautiful city,

  2. Hey, What about Nepal information. I am here to operate Nepal treks like Everest Base Camp and Annapurna. My company name is Adventure Discovery treks and Travel. I have daily Everest Base Camp helicopter flight tour from Kathmandu too. Let me know if we can work together.

    1. Hi Rabindra,
I’m always open to people contributing guides as long as they’re comprehensive and not self-promoting. In return the guide links back to your site – and I also promote it through social media.
We’ve never been to Nepal so I’d welcome a guide! If you’re interested please send me a private email at [email protected]

  3. Hi Guys
I’ve been enjoying your blog for a while now, it inspired me to stay in Cortona while traveling through Tuscany.
I saw on another post that you love Germany. We’re going there in June. But why is there no Germany destination guide?

    1. Thanks Laura for the nice message!
I haven’t written a Germany guide because I don’t consider myself an expert on Germany – haven’t yet visited Berlin and Frankfurt for example. Maybe one day after a few more visits 🙂 I find Rough Guides however have a good Germany guide: Hope that helps!
PS Many of my guides are contributed by local experts. Nobody has volunteered a Germany guide yet however…

  4. Hi Frank & Lissette ,
I very much enjoy your website and it inspire me with my new site about traveling around USA. Please let me know what exactly would you be interesting in while planning your next trip to US, and I would do my best to help you.
    Best wishes,
